Okay, I caved!

Nope. Not me. No way. Can't be bothered. Won't be persuaded. I have nothing to say that others would be interested in. No time. No talent. No tech savvy. No blogging for me!

Yet here I am, throwing my chat in the ring. Going against my better judgement, while opening myself up to be judged by others. And for what? It's not like I'm a great communicator. I hate the phone. Type like a lobster. Tend to avoid eye contact. Prefer stories to get to the point (assuming they HAVE a point, which all too often proves not to be the case) and rely much too much on sarcasm.

So other than the fact that I have a book to plug, why should I be doing this? And what can one expect from my cyber musings? Well, so long as you're easily amused by the likes of bad puns, random questions, and the occasional embarrassing story, I can promise you some sort of entertainment. And if you read really carefully, maybe even some sporadic enlightenment, as I've found that many of life's truths lie in my face. (FYI: the last statement is the one to ponder!)

Now that that's out of the way, let's start things off with a bang. I will turn control over to you and let the first person to respond determine my next topic. My plan for new posts is to follow the Jimmy Buffett model of working Tuesdays, Thursdays, and some Saturdays, so see you next Tuesday!

  2. Thanks, Sue! Shame you wasted your power on such an inane question, but I'm a man of my word, so Tuesdays post will be dedicated to determining how much Wood a woodchuck could chuck if a woodchuck could chuck Wood.

  3. Okay, I'll follow. But only because you effectively used the word "inane" in a sentence.

  5. I wanted to challenge you, Mike. Anyone can pontificate on a political, spiritual, cultural, ethical or scientific topic. Let's see what you can do with this. I am expecting something profound and elegant on Tuesday, Mike.
